Travelling with a favourite watch starts with a simple question: how will it stay separated, supported and easy to carry?

Choose the smallest case that fits

Single-watch pouches suit a spare piece, while rolls and multi-watch cases can hold a small rotation. Check the internal dimensions against your watch case, crown and bracelet. A compact outer size is only useful if the watch fits comfortably inside.

Keep watches apart

Use the individual cushions or compartments as intended. Make sure bracelets and clasps cannot rub against another watch. Close the case gently; if the lid needs force, the fit is not right.

Pack with care

A travel case helps organise your watches, but it is not automatically waterproof, crushproof or theft-proof. Avoid packing it under heavy objects or alongside liquids. Keep valuable pieces in your carry-on where appropriate, and check your airline and insurer’s requirements.

Plan for changing conditions

Avoid leaving a watch case in a hot car or in direct sunlight. If a watch gets wet, follow its manufacturer’s instructions and let it dry before returning it to storage. Moisture trapped in a closed case is best avoided.

Keep the essentials simple

Take only the watches you expect to wear. Record reference details securely before travelling and check that your insurance covers the destination and value involved.
